DAY 1

Arrival in Porto Velho
Welcome to Brazil! Your adventure through the Amazon begins in Porto Velho, the capital city of the state of Rondônia. Upon your arrival, our team will be there to greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Take some time to rest and get ready for the exciting journey ahead.

DAY 2

Porto Velho to Vila Realidade (297 km, 7 hrs)
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we’ll set off on our journey towards Vila Realidade, a charming town located 297 kilometers away from Porto Velho. As we drive through the lush landscapes of the Amazon rainforest, you’ll get your first taste of the region’s natural beauty. Along the way, we’ll make stops at scenic viewpoints and local villages to interact with the friendly locals. In Vila Realidade, we’ll check into our accommodations and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by the tranquility of the Amazon.

DAY 3

Vila Realidade to Igapó Açu (360 km, 10 hrs)
Today, we continue our expedition further into the Amazon rainforest as we journey towards Igapó Açu. The route will take us through remote areas, providing you with an opportunity to witness the untouched wilderness of the Amazon basin. Keep your camera ready to capture the mesmerizing flora and fauna. In Igapó Açu, we’ll settle into our lodgings and savor a traditional Amazonian dinner.

DAY 4

Igapó Açu to Manaus (280 km, 6 hrs)
As the sun rises, we’ll depart for the bustling city of Manaus, known as the “Heart of the Amazon.” Along the way, we’ll cross stunning river landscapes and venture through dense forested regions. In Manaus, we’ll have time to explore some of the city’s iconic landmarks, such as the Amazon Theatre and the Rio Negro Palace. You’ll also get a taste of the local cuisine, which is heavily influenced by the Amazon’s bounty.

DAY 5 (FREE EXTENSION)

Manaus to Santarém by Boat (30 hrs)
Today, we embark on an unforgettable boat journey along the Amazon River, heading to the city of Santarém. This unique experience allows you to immerse yourself fully in the river’s atmosphere, witnessing the rhythm of life along its banks. Comfortable facilities on the boat will ensure a relaxing and enjoyable journey.

DAY 6

Arrival in Santarém (by boat)
In the late afternoon, we’ll reach Santarém, where the Amazon and Tapajós Rivers meet. The city is renowned for its unique “Meeting of the Waters” phenomenon, where the distinct colors of both rivers remain separate for several kilometers. After arriving, we’ll check into our hotel and have some leisure time to unwind and explore the city.

DAY 7

Santarém to Itaituba (380 km, 6 hrs)
Leaving Santarém, we’ll continue our expedition by road, traveling towards Itaituba. This leg of the journey offers picturesque views of the Amazonian landscape and glimpses of rural communities that rely on the river for their livelihoods. Upon reaching Itaituba, we’ll settle into our accommodations and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

DAY 8

Itaituba to Jacareacanga (393 km, 8 hrs)
Today’s journey takes us to Jacareacanga, a small town surrounded by pristine rainforest. As we traverse through this remote region, you’ll have the opportunity to spot various wildlife species and experience the true essence of the Amazon. In Jacareacanga, we’ll spend the evening exploring the local culture and enjoying a warm Amazonian welcome.

DAY 9

Jacareacanga to Matupi (489 km, 5 hrs)
Our next destination is the enchanting village of Matupi. The road will lead us through remote areas of the Amazon, where the sights and sounds of the rainforest will leave you in awe. Upon arrival in Matupi, we’ll have time to explore the surroundings and learn about the traditions and customs of the indigenous communities living here.

DAY 10

Matupi to Porto Velho (480 km, 8 hrs)
On our final full day of exploration, we head back to where our journey began, Porto Velho. This return journey will provide a chance to reflect on the incredible experiences of the past days and to further immerse yourself in the Amazon’s captivating landscapes.

Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, it’s time to say farewell to the Amazon and the unforgettable memories you’ve created during this expedition. We’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight back home, filled with tales of your incredible adventure through the heart of Brazil’s most extraordinary natural wonder.

Every evening, you can look forward to toilet and shower facilities, allowing you to freshen up after an exhilarating day of riding. Be prepared for varying temperatures during the tour, ranging from 20 to 40°C (68°F to 104°F). While the temperatures may drop slightly during early mornings, we recommend riding with ventilated or MX riding gear and protective clothing. Consider carrying a rain suit for short rain showers that can happen any time.
