And we are talking seeing all the big mammals up close. Elephants, hippos, zebras, giraffes, lions and leopards. This 10 day best of Uganda Motorcycle Safari is packed with nature experiences. MotoDreamer includes a couple of amazing boat trips to see crocodiles, and visit the birthplace of the river Nile and spectacular waterfalls.

Ride the open Savanna and visit the dense jungle. We play with chimpanzees and interact with the local African tribes. And we even have a special treat for does who wish to join a hike deep into the jungle to experience the world’s last Silverback Mountain Gorilla. DAY 1

Upon arriving at Uganda’s Entebbe Airport, our team will warmly welcome you and transfer you to the arrival hotel. Take some time to freshen up and relax before meeting our friendly team for a comprehensive briefing about the thrilling adventure ahead. (0 KM)

DAY 2

Embark on an exciting journey from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park, covering a distance of 380 kilometers on well-paved roads. As one of the largest national parks in Uganda and Africa, Murchison Falls offers an optional opportunity to track Rhinos at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The ride to the park takes you through quaint small villages, and upon reaching the park gate, our experienced guide will explain how to responsibly navigate the curvy dirt roads inside the park. Be sure to carry plenty of water for the 2-hour ride to the lodge, as it can get hot and humid if the sun is out. (380 KM)

DAY 3

Stay within the captivating Murchison Falls National Park and embark on a thrilling 170-kilometer game ride through its mesmerizing savannah landscape. Accompanied by our armed ranger, encounter the diverse wildlife that roams freely in the park. Our knowledgeable ranger will provide fascinating insights about the park’s flora and fauna. Adhere to the ranger’s instructions to ensure a safe and memorable experience. After the exhilarating game drive, return to the lodge to savor a delicious lunch and unwind by the pool, enjoying the passing wildlife. (170 KM, 50% dirt)

DAY 4

Today, depart from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest, covering a distance of 370 kilometers. The journey treats you to breathtaking views along the Rwenzori Mountains and takes you through charming small villages. Riding on a beautiful, brand-new road, keep an eye out for speed bumps as you pass by Lake Edward, which shares its border with Congo. Take a quick tour of the fishing village at the lake to witness the local fishing culture and daily life. Lunch will be at the quaint place called Kagadi before arriving at our lodge, surrounded by natural beauty, around 4:00 pm. (370 KM)

DAY 5

Wake up to a stunning morning in Kibale Forest. For those who have booked chimpanzee trekking, the day begins with an 8:00 am trek. Others can indulge in a leisurely stroll through the tea plantations or simply admire the beauty of the lake, where you might catch sight of playful hippos. Today’s ride covers a shorter distance, about 200 kilometers, and takes approximately 4 hours due to road conditions. Upon arriving at the lodge, settle in and have lunch before heading out for an evening game ride at 4:00 pm, followed by a delightful dinner. (200 KM, 50% Dirt)

DAY 6

Experience an early morning game drive starting at 6:30 am in the mesmerizing Queen Elizabeth National Park, covering 390 kilometers. The park gate awaits your arrival at 7:00 am, where you’ll embark on a 3-4 hour ride to spot the elusive tree-climbing lions, herds of elephants, antelopes, and if you’re lucky, a leopard. Journey onwards to the magnificent Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for the highly anticipated gorilla trekking adventure. As you head to Kisoro town, be prepared for sharp turns and changing altitudes in the mountainous terrain, which can get cold both during the day and at night. During the ride, you’ll pass the scenic Lake Bunyonyi. (390 KM)

DAY 7

For those going gorilla trekking, the day commences with a trip to the base camp at Bwindi Forest to start their trek. Meanwhile, other riders can explore the region’s picturesque mountains and lakes or visit the fascinating pygmy tribes in the forest. After the gorilla trekking adventure, riders will regroup before heading to Lake Bunyonyi at 2:00 pm. Known as the deepest lake in Africa and the third deepest in the world, Lake Bunyonyi offers a serene and breathtaking setting. Arriving at the lake around 6:00 pm, you’ll have the evening to unwind and take in the natural beauty. (80 KM)

DAY 8

Delight in the morning beauty of Lake Bunyonyi and explore its captivating surroundings before departing for Lake Mburo, covering 200 kilometers. Lake Mburo National Park presents a chance to encounter wildlife against the backdrop of picturesque landscapes. While the road will be pleasant, exercise caution as drivers in this area might not always be considerate. Arrive at Leopard Rest Camp and enjoy the rest of the day amidst the tranquility of the park. (200 KM)

DAY 9

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the stunning views of Lake Mburo National Park’s hills. Pack your belongings and set off for the return journey to Kampala, covering 230 kilometers on smooth tarmac roads. Make a stop at the Uganda Equator for a unique experience and relish a tasty lunch at a cozy restaurant. Arriving in Kampala before 3:00 pm, you can avoid the bustling city traffic and savor the last moments of your Ugandan adventure. (230 KM, Tarmac)

DAY 10

Depending on your flight departure time, we offer an optional city tour of Kampala on scooters, allowing you to immerse yourself in the chaotic charm of the city. The city tour lasts approximately 2-3 hours. Whenever you are ready to depart, our airport transfer service is ready to take you to the airport. Should you wish to extend your stay, we are more than happy to assist you with hotel reservations. (0 KM)

On our 10 day best of Uganda Motorcycle Safari you can expect 65% pavement, 35% on gravel, dirt and sandy tracks. Hundreds of curves and extremely scenic roads paved roads of varying quality. Rookie to expert riders and couples are very welcome on this tour. We stay in mid-range hotels, plus 2 nights in safari camp cottages. We always opt for the best option available – clean, safe and practical location.

Temperatures can vary between 12 to 40°C (53.6 F to 104°F). Temperatures can drop for a short period going on game drive early mornings. It is recommended to ride with ventilated riding gear. A pull over rain suite is a good idea to carry against mountain temperatures and possible short rain showers that can occur year round.
