If you are into going real adventurous on the backroads or off-road the Kawasaki KLR650 is ideal. A super fun ride. Seat height: 889 mm (35 in) * Weight (wet): 189 kg (416 lb.) * Power: 44/hp

The Kawasaki KLR650 is iconic – period! This bike came to market in 1987 and has continued to fulfil overland riders wet dreams of reaching the most deserted outskirts of the planet. You can go full MacGyver on this bike. It is simple and robust. It can be fixed by bush mechanics anywhere in the world with a piece of gum and bamboo stick and it will never let you down.

The Kawasaki KLR650 has remained almost unchanged since the beginning. This means that parts are available all over the world. And a ton of accessories has been designed for this bike so there is no stopping you from bringing a surfboard attached on the side or a sidecar for a passenger. The options are endless.

Yet this bike is neither fast, sexy nor any technological wonder. There has been a few updates in recent years and that include the adding of a fuel injection and ABS brakes. Most everything else remains the same. We use older models KLR’s on our amazing dual sport tour through the Bolivian highlands. These bikes are perfect for this environment. Bolivia is a simple country with poor infrastructure and bad fuel. The roads are rough and spare parts are hard to get. This is why the KLR650 is perfect for this trip. This bike can take a beating and at night we screw everything back together and then we do it all again the next day.

Come on an iconic ride with us to Bolivia. The KLR will be your loyal companion to ensure that you get to go where very few other have ventured on two wheels!
