The BMW R1250 GS is the latest model in a long line that started with the R80 GS, then later R100 GS both made famous in the early Dakar rallies. Then came the R1100 GS, the R1150 GS, the R1200 GS and now the R1250GS. And BMW has already announced that an R1300 GS is in the making and should soon hit the streets. Though bigger is not always better, this is a pretty awesome do-it-all type of bike, unless you really go off the beaten track into some really technical terrain, then you are in most cases better of on something smaller.
